In 2, you learned how to categorize your policies. Here, you can take advantage of these logical groupings for policy evaluations. For example, suppose that you want to evaluate only the policies that pertain to maintenance that you ve imported from Microsoft s collection of best practice policies. You would pass the parameter PolicyCategoryFilter "Microsoft Best Practices: Maintenance". You may also choose to evaluate all policies, from all categories, by passing the blank parameter of PolicyCategoryFilter "". Be aware that the -PolicyCategoryFilter parameter is case-sensitive with respect to category names. The best way to make sure you specify each category name correctly is to open the Manage Policy Categories dialog box in SQL Server Management Studio (right-click the Policy Management node and select Manage Categories), highlight the category name, right-click it, and select Copy, as shown in Figure 8-4. This ensures you get the correct spelling and punctuation.
